We have a collection of thousands of cars in the MoD and those vehicles account for a tiny fraction.
However regardless of if you’re traveling in a vehicle from China or a car from another country, our instruction to our staff is to avoid connecting Ministry of Defence technology into their car, to avoid having conversations at a secret level in any kind of car, due to the growing threats of eavesdropping that exist in all vehicle, to only have those confidential conversations in protected areas. This is a prudent and reasonable thing for everyone concerned about security.

When it was put to him that it would be prudent for the MoD to cease using every Chinese vehicles, Pollard responded: That is exactly what we’re investigating at the moment.”
